Variant Guard helps Shopify merchants find SKU and barcode problems, review affected variants, and preview supported missing-SKU changes before anything is applied.

What the app does

• Runs read-only catalog scans for missing or duplicate SKUs and barcodes.
• Checks GTIN checksums, non-standard barcode formats, and zero prices.
• Links findings back to the affected product in Shopify.
• Creates deterministic missing-SKU previews and skips rows changed after preview.

Variant Guard validates existing barcode values but does not issue, sell, register, or certify UPCs, EANs, or GTINs.
